2. Ongoing clusters of 2–3-hour sessions.
Using our trauma assessment, we’ll find the best solution for you.
– Anyone struggling with a traumatic event(s)
– Physicians, Nurses and other frontline workers
– Law Enforcement, Firefighters and Emergency Response
– Military
What types of traumas can EMDR Intensives help with?
– Recent Traumatic Events
– Car Accidents, Traumatic losses, Heath crises
– Communal Traumas
– School Shooting survivors
– Interpersonal Violence
Why EMDR Intensives?
Intensive treatment reduces the amount of time suffering with trauma symptoms and the significant impact on relationships, work and wellbeing unresolved trauma creates.
Waiting lists in Connecticut and nationally are long for good trauma treatment providers. Intensives have much shorter wait times, as clients complete treatment in a much shorter period of time.
How EMDR Works
Healing Trauma isn’t simple, but our process is.
First, we schedule a 20-minute phone consultation to determine what is the best approach to give you the rapid healing you deserve.
Next, we’ll build a solid foundation to your intensive in 3 steps:
- Complete an intake with a trauma specialist.
- Complete questionnaires to identify symptoms.
- Begin your EMDR intensive.
Start breaking free of the past!
If simply talking could heal trauma, wouldn’t you be better by now?
Living with the fall out of trauma is hard, it intrudes in life in uncomfortable ways. Despite your best efforts and even multiple attempts with therapy and self-help efforts, you are still struggling. This is what I have been repeatedly told by the clients I have helped. Too often, unhelpful coping strategies such as avoidance or “checking out” become the normal way of living. These patterns can be deeply ingrained and difficult to work through in a one-hour session.
It’s time for a new approach. You deserve to receive treatment that actually relieves your pain.
An intensive therapy model allows us to work through these protective strategies more efficiently without the concern of running out of time. We are then able to move into reprocessing the underlying trauma memories. Longer therapy sessions actually allow us to get to the traumas in less time overall.
It’s time to fast-track your healing with an EMDR intensive.
An EMDR intensive is a way of receiving treatment in a brief period, such as a few days. New research and my clinical experience show intensives for trauma and stress are highly effective in rapidly reducing symptoms to give you back your life, for good.
