Intensive Trauma Relief with EMDR

Fast-track your healing and reclaim your life.

Are you ready to Fast-track your healing?

Being Stuck in the Past is No Way to Live

You’ve experienced trauma…maybe a single event or maybe something that was ongoing. Now you’re left feeling stuck in the past and unable to get back to who you were before it happened. Maybe you feel constantly on edge, maybe you feel completely numb, or maybe you experience both. All you know is that you’re ready to feel differently and reclaim your life.

You may have tried therapy before, without finding the healing you deserve. Regular talk therapy can keep you stuck in your trauma. Perhaps you’ve even tried good, trauma-informed therapy, only to find that the start and stop of therapy one hour a week prevented you from making the breakthroughs you are capable of. Or maybe you’ve not had any therapy, and just want to jump in with both feet to fast-track your healing.

If any of this feels familiar, there is hope. EMDR intensives can be the answer. Together, let’s take the mystery out of healing your past.

EMDR Intensives are a proven fast-track method of healing emotional wounds and relocating them to the past for good.

EMDR Intensives can be done in two different ways:
1. Multiple consecutive days of 3-6 hours of therapy, or
2. Ongoing clusters of 2–3-hour sessions.

Using our trauma assessment, we’ll find the best solution for you.

You deserve Trauma Treatment that actually relieves your suffering.

EMDR is an 8 phase therapy that addresses how trauma memories are stored in the brain, the mind and the body. It focuses on the ways past traumatic events intrude into the present causing problems in daily life.

An EMDR intensive is a way of receiving treatment in a brief period, such as a few days or in extended therapy sessions of several hours over several months. Multiple EMDR sessions are completed in a single day or days.

New research and my clinical experience show intensives for trauma and stress are highly effective in rapidly reducing symptoms.

Who can be helped by EMDR intensives?
– Anyone struggling with a traumatic event(s)
– Physicians, Nurses and other frontline workers
– Law Enforcement, Firefighters and Emergency Response
– Military

What types of traumas can EMDR Intensives help with?
– Recent Traumatic Events
– Car Accidents, Traumatic losses, Heath crises
– Communal Traumas
– School Shooting survivors
– Interpersonal Violence

Why EMDR Intensives?

While the upfront cost may be higher, treatment is shorter and can save both time and money and less time missed from work.

Intensive treatment reduces the amount of time suffering with trauma symptoms and the significant impact on relationships, work and wellbeing unresolved trauma creates.

They help you get better faster with lasting results.

Waiting lists in Connecticut and nationally are long for good trauma treatment providers. Intensives have much shorter wait times, as clients complete treatment in a much shorter period of time.

How EMDR Works

Healing Trauma isn’t simple, but our process is.

First, we schedule a 20-minute phone consultation to determine what is the best approach to give you the rapid healing you deserve.

Next, we’ll build a solid foundation to your intensive in 3 steps:

  1. Complete an intake with a trauma specialist.
  2. Complete questionnaires to identify symptoms.
  3. Begin your EMDR intensive.

Start breaking free of the past!

Unhealed trauma casts a long shadow. A traumatized brain cannot be talked out of the memories or the way they continue to intrude.

If simply talking could heal trauma, wouldn’t you be better by now?

Living with the fall out of trauma is hard, it intrudes in life in uncomfortable ways. Despite your best efforts and even multiple attempts with therapy and self-help efforts, you are still struggling. This is what I have been repeatedly told by the clients I have helped. Too often, unhelpful coping strategies such as avoidance or “checking out” become the normal way of living. These patterns can be deeply ingrained and difficult to work through in a one-hour session.

It’s time for a new approach. You deserve to receive treatment that actually relieves your pain.

An intensive therapy model allows us to work through these protective strategies more efficiently without the concern of running out of time. We are then able to move into reprocessing the underlying trauma memories. Longer therapy sessions actually allow us to get to the traumas in less time overall.

It’s time to fast-track your healing with an EMDR intensive.

“Hi, Deb! I just wanted to check in and say thank you. I really think you saved my life. I have such an amazing time with my son every day. I just want to hang out with him. I feel closer to my wife than I ever have. I even get along with my stubborn old dog. I’m not scared, scarred, or angry anymore, though I never realized I was. I’m so excited about life. I can’t find the words to fully express my appreciation for what you’ve done for me. So thank you. If you’ve done nothing else in this world, you’ve made this small family’s life better.”

“It felt like I couldn’t stand in the center of the memorial... I was ok, but it felt like the center of the memorial was like the center of Towers. I could get close but not stand in it. I couldn’t have done it without you. I’m grateful for your help, more than you will ever know. You helped me; now, I’m not the only one saving people; you are too. No one… no one helped me as much as you, and I will never forget it.”
